Completed just before his death in 1953, this work gives the fullest expression to Thomas' sense of the magnificent flavor and variety of life. A moving, dark, and funny play about the dreams and waking lives of a fictional Welsh coastal town, the 47 quirky characters of Under Milk Wood bring to life their inner longings bubbling beneath the surface of the town’s daily life, endearing us to humanity’s bawdy and magnificent possibilities.
