"In addition to student-choreographed group pieces, the final gala will feature performances from alums Anna Porter, from the class of 2005, and Stuart Coleman and Bronwyn Updike, who both graduated last year.
They’re also including the seniors’ solos, usually performed separately in a special, pre-graduation show, in the gala.
"We want this to be about the kids because this is the final performance," says Leslie Kozera, the school’s director of operations. "That was more important than anything else, (giving them) a true audience for their pieces."
Says Echerer: "What I like about this show is everyone gets to dance. Everyone gets to show what they can do.
"Our goal is to really make this our best show and basically show Lynchburg what they’re going to miss."
