Announcing the 2010 Blue Ridge Summer Theatre Festival Season
Hello friends of Endstation! The 2009 Blue Ridge Summer Theatre
Festival (BRSTF) was a great success, thanks to your support. We are
already excited for next year, and would like to give you a sneak peak
of what we are working on. Get ready for our most entertaining and
ambitious season yet!
The Complete Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)
This hilarious play was
originally produced by the Reduced Shakespeare Company at the
Endinburgh Fringe Festival in 1987. This wonderful work has become one
of the world's most popular shows and parodies the plays of William
Shakespeare by performing all of his works with in the course of one
evening. This will be a co-production with the Renaissance Theatre
Company and will be performed at Renaissance's Downtown Lynchburg
theatre.
Alice in Wonderland
We are thrilled to
present our first production for young audiences. Lewis Carol's classic
story of Alice and her journey through Wonderland will be vividly
envisioned by the Endstation artistic team. This production will be an
experience that can only be had in through live theatre and will thrill
both kids and adults. Alice's adventures will take place in the Babcock
Fine Arts Center at Sweet Briar College
Hamlet
Endstation Theatre
Company presents another exciting outdoor Shakespeare classic. This
envisioning of Hamlet will be staged on an old dairy barn on the Sweet
Briar College campus. Shakespeare's famous prince will find himself in
rural Virginia during the Civil War and the production will be
accompanied by live music from the Lynchburg band Virgineola. This
production will only continue to elevate the exciting theatrical
exploration that we have begun to build a reputation for.
