^{Enjoy refreshments and the artwork of Randolph College studio art professor, Jim Muehlemann. Also opening will be Randolph College’s student curated exhibition, The Modern Woman: Roles or Reality? Fear and Wonder features works Muehlemann created during his prolific 2012-13 sabbatical.
The Modern Woman: Roles or Reality examines how women are represented in art, and what the artist—whether male or female— communicates about the subject. Is the work a depiction of the woman’s “reality”—both physical and psychological—or is it a construct based on her role and gender?}
